Talking Devils is an independent voice and podcast providing news and opinion on Manchester United, from supporters and former players. In 2011, Wayne Barton founded 7Cantonas.com, and in 2013, he created TalkOfTheDevils.co.uk, a website and podcast featuring legendary former players like Gordon Hill and the late Brian Greenhoff. In 2023, when The Athletic launched their Talk Of The Devils podcast, it necessitated a distinct name for our podcast, which was renamed Talking Devils. Our podcast was the original podcast to feature regular contributions from former players and in 2025 we are proud to have weekly podcasts with the legendary Paul Parker as well as former youth team players Lee Lawrence and Phil Marsh.
The website and podcast are run by Wayne Barton and Dave Murphy. Both are lifelong supporters of the club and regular matchers. Wayne is an author and producer who has written over twenty books on the club. There are numerous people who help to contribute to the website, podcast and social media pages, including Daniel Burdett, who has been a season ticket holder for over thirty years, and Keane Franey, who hosts our Thursday evening podcast.
Talking Devils has proudly interviewed numerous distinguished figures associated with Manchester United over the years including Sammy McIlroy, Alex Stepney, Rene Meulensteen, Fabio and Rafael Da Silva, Martin Edwards and more.
